Week 1 is Done

Alright, though I've already been hard at work being the new Director of Campus for nearly a month now, school itself has only been in session for one week and so far so good. I'm teaching one class of 8th grade Intro to Catholicism and one 10th grade Sacraments/Church History class. The rest of the time I am doing campus ministry. As of right now, my posting will be far less regular than in the past. I will continue to post when I have time.

On the first day of class I gave the students an info/survey so that I could learn a little more about themselves. Well, one of the questions I asked at the end of the survey was "If you could meet one Saint who would it be and why?" Here were my favorite answers:
1. The saint I would most like to meet is Drew Brees. He is a great athlete and really anchors the offense.
2. Saint Paul because he was the first Pope.
3. I would like to meet Reggie Bush because he is a versatile player and a real offensive weapon that keeps the other teams guessing.
4. Saint Francis because he liked animals.
Looks like I have some work cut out for me.

Oh Louisiana football...that's what you get. Sorry, Paul!

Sort of reminds me of when I was listening to Wisconsin Public Radio and the talk show host was taking calls about who Time should name as man of the year...and people called in (seriously) with Brett Favre.

Hang in there.

Have you seen this new FAITH DATABASE yet? It looks amazing! Wanted to get your opinion on it - found the video demo at www.faithdatabase.com. A virtual library of Christianity for $39 bucks - and it's all searchable. You can even download it to your PDA.
Look forward to hearing your thoughts!
