Audio Prayers

I made these over at ispeech.org. I was tired of just listening to talk radio in the car on the way to work in the morning, and often when I get to work I would forget to say my morning prayers. I've been slowly adding some prayers to a kind of audio library that helps me to keep focused. Click here, or on the orange headphone image, to download a zipped file of all the prayers in mp3 format.

Prayers at the start of your day (Aka Morning Prayers)

Morning Offering:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of your sacred heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all the apostles of prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

Act of Faith:
My God, I firmly believe that You are one God in three Divine Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that your Divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the holy Catholic Church reaches, because You have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

Act of Hope:
O my God, relying on your infinite goodness and promises, I hope to obtain pardon of my sins, and help of your grace, and life everlasting through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer.

Act of Love:
Act of Love, O my God, I love You above all things, with my whole heart and soul, because You are all-good and worthy of all love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of You. I forgive all who have offended me, and I ask pardon for those I have offended.

Prayer for Generosity:
Dear Lord, teach me to be generous. Teach me to serve You as You deserve; to give and not count the cost; to fight and not to heed the wounds; to toil and not to seek for rest, to labor and not ask for reward, except that of knowing that I am doing Your will.

Prayer for Calm:
My Lord and my God, I do not know what will happen to me today, but what I do know is that nothing will happen to me today that you and I together can not handle. This thought is enough to bring me to face the day in peace. I adore you in your wisdom and love. I commend myself into your hands with complete trust.

Prayers at the End of your day (Aka Night Prayers Prayers)
There are more than this, but this is all I have at the moment.

The Examination (of Conscience) This is a link to the Mp.3 file from Pray-as-you-go.org of a lady leading an Examination. I do not recommend everything on this site, but I found this file helpful. I sometimes use it in class with my 8th graders. It allows me to pray and keep an eye on my students.
